Ukraine Flag

Ukraine's flag is two equal horizontal bands: azure blue on top and golden yellow on the bottom. The image evokes the country's landscape — a clear blue sky over golden wheat fields, reflecting Ukraine's identity as a major agricultural nation.

The proportions are 2:3. The blue is officially Pantone 285 C and the yellow Pantone 109 C, though both appear in slightly different shades across contexts.

Blue and gold appeared on the arms of the Principality of Galicia–Volhynia in medieval times. The modern bicolour gained prominence during the Ukrainian People's Republic (1917–1920) but was suppressed under Soviet rule.

Ukraine declared independence in 1991 and officially adopted the blue-and-yellow flag in 1992. Since Russia's 2022 invasion, the flag has become a powerful global symbol of resistance and Ukrainian national identity.
